The youngest member of this family kept me laughing with all of her silly facial expressions and playful behaviors. In fact, all of the kids were so at home in front of the camera that it was hard to find a bad photo of them. . .

An Extended Family Session {Elkhart Family Photographer}
Last weekend I had the opportunity to photograph a large family group. We had a fantastic outdoor space and it was fun to see everyone interacting together including their adorable little puppy. With such a large group we had everything from individual shots of each child, to each family, to some of the whole gang together. One of my favorites is definitly grandma and grandpa laughing with the grandkids.

One more senior session {Northridge Senior Photographer}
I've got a few more images to share this evening. This young lady was so photogenic I couldn't help but look through her images when I got home tonight. A few of my favorites for now. . .
A Beautiful Afternoon {Concord Senior Photographer}
This Concord senior and her mom joined me in Elkhart for a photo session this weekend. We were a little worried about rain but it turned out to be a gorgeous afternoon. Lucky for me, she was relaxed in front of the camera and the camera loved her (as did several passing motorists who whistled and honked). I haven't got through them all, but I did pick a few favorites so far. . .
A Little Family Rivalry {Middlebury Family Photographer}
I had to smile when the week before the big ND-Michigan this family donned their Notre Dame and Michigan colors in front of the camera. Nothing like a little family rivalry. It was probably a good thing that we did this session before last night. . . we might not have got those smiles from the ND side.

It's Senior Picture Time! {Northridge Senior Photographer}
Ahh. . .fall. That means school is back in session and high school seniors are ready for their pictures. These are always fun sessions for me. The seniors have so much fun in front of the camera once we get started and I always get a good laugh out of the boys who always seem to bring way more clothing changes than the girls.
This Northridge senior was one of the first of the fall. He decided that we should do his session on his favorite turf--the golf course. So we met up at Elcona after school one day this week and headed out in a golf cart to find some good shots on the course. . .

A Fun Family Time (Goshen Family Photographer}
I photographed this family about a year ago when their youngest child was only a few months old. Now she was busy running around with a big smile on her face. She was fun to capture on the run while the older kids were all into posing for me (including making some fishy faces). I had to pull out a few knock-knock jokes to get a smile from the oldest though, but those terrible jokes worked just fine. . .
Another set of school photos (Warsaw Family Photographer}
I had the opportunity to do another set of school photos on a perfect Sunday afternoon. This time it was for two elementary aged kids; lucky for me, their adorable little baby brother joined in too. The kids had a great time checking out everything in the gardens as we made our way through. . .
A beautiful baby girl {Goshen Infant Photographer}
This beautiful little girl was about 8 weeks old when I got the opportunity to photographer her. Her mom wanted some adoarble shots of her asleep but she was alert and had no interest in closing her big eyes. With a little patience though, we finally had a few moments of slumber and the most fantastic bare-bottom photos. Unfortunately, I've decided bare-bottom shots won't make it on my blog so we'll have to choose a few others . . .
An Alternative to the School Photo {Goshen Child Photographer}
I've never been a big fan of school picture packages. First off, they are super expensive. Then there is the fact the kids are never really thrilled with the results--I heard lots of grumbles when I passed them out to my students this week. But those aren't the things that bother me most. What I really dislike is that you only have one choice. I like options. I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one who feels this way because some families are starting to use sessions at this time of year as an alternative to school pictures. I met these two middle-school-aged students downtown to create their own "school picture package". . .
