Check out Heather Baber's Red Barn Photography on Facebook

I haven't been posting to my blog for quite a while now.  I guess with four kids and a teaching job, this is just one thing I've cut out for lack of extra time.  I have, however, decided to post a picture or two occasionally on Facebook.  You can see my newest work at Heather Baber's Red Barn Photography on Facebook.  Feel free to browse the archives here for my earlier work.

Fall Family Pictures {Goshen Family Photographer}

Now seems to be a popular time to schedule family pictures (and senior pics!).  Many people are looking for gorgeous fall colors, but there are lots of other possibilities as well.  This session, for example, was at a family farm full of fantastic photo spots. . .you just have to look in the right
spaces. . .

Life is Beautiful {Goshen Family Photographer}

Life is beautiful.  Let your kids dress themselves (you'll miss those boots when they ask for their first pair of $100 shoes).  Let them carry around their favorite toys (they'll soon be replaced with ipods and cell phones).

On the Farm {Goshen Family Photographer}

Sometimes I have the most fun taking pictures of a family at their home.  They're relaxed and we can incorporate some of the things they love--like a rooster!

Who needs school pictures? {Goshen Child Photographer}

Sometimes school pictures get a little stagnant.  That's when it's time to so a little family session. . .

It was 100 degrees {Goshen Child Photographer}

Really.  It was 100 degrees.  But as I think about it, there were several days this summer that were hot like that.  These little kids were sweaty when we were done; they spent our session running and jumping while little sister watched with a smile. . .

Anniversary Pictures {Goshen Area Photographer}

Two friends from school are celebrating big anniversaries this year and I was able to shoot some photos to commerate their special miilestone. . .

Growing up {Goshen child photographer}

I first photographed these siblings a year ago and my how they have changed!  I loved how they interacted with one another and how these photos captured their personalities.  She was a little reserved and he was so curious . . .

It's been a LONG Time! {Goshen infant photographer}

Ugh!  We're back at school and with a new baby at our house, I've kind of neglected (ok, really neglected) the blog again.  I've heard from several people that they check out the blog for ideas of where to do their session, so I thought I'd add some new posts tonight.  I've been up to a lot . . . first, a little sleeping baby. . .

Evening in the Garden {Goshen Family Photographer}

It's always exciting for me to photograph a family that I've taken pictures of before because the kids are always a little more comfortable with me behind the camera.  And when the kids are relaxed, everyone is relaxed!  This sister and brother duo were awesome to work with tonight and the result was some great photographs. . .

Miss M is Two! {Goshen Child Photographer}

I've had the pleasure of watching this little girl grow up over the last two years.  It's amazing to think that the first time I photographed her, she was just sitting up and now, she moves so fast it's hard to keep up with her.  One thing hasn't changed though--those big brown eyes!

Family From Afar {Goshen Family Photographer}

I had the opportunity to photograph this extended family once before when all the grandkids and their parents had returned from China.  They were back again this summer, so we met up again.  When I have a whole family session like this, I can do a few shots of each couple, the whole group and individuals too.  And, it's always fun to photograph a family like this one who loves to spend time together.

Brothers {Goshen family photographer}

These two little guys came dressed to impress today.  They had their smiles on and their mom found the cutest little shirts on Etsy -- bet they look a little like their Daddy when he heads off to work!

A "Love"ly Little Lady {Goshen infant photographer}

This gorgeous little girl was born only a few days before my own little guy.  Besides being born so close together, it seems that they share some of the same tricks too-- a big gummy smile that melts your heart, some bright, sparkling eyes that put a smile on your own face and the most peaceful face at sleep.  What a great age!

A little princess {Goshen Child Photographer}

This was one fun session!  First, I got to do a lot of it indoors which is extremely unusual for me but very fun.  Second, this little girl is gorgeous (wait until you see those blue, blue eyes and sweet smile).  And finally, her mom had lots of fantastic ideas and adorable outfits.
I often get asked about outfit changes, backgrounds, and how many images are on the CD.  I can say that it varies a little with each session, but here is a larger sample of what you'd get from a single session.  When I looked back through this little ladies edited images, I couldn't pick just a few favorites, so here are several. . .
